“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
~Carl R. Rogers
Welcome!
You’ve taken a big step in your healing by being here. I congratulate you for that. Finding mental health care can be scary and exhausting. It’s not an easy thing but there’s good reason why many have found great benefits from counseling.
You might be here because you struggle with your every day life with ADHD. Maybe it’s impacting your relationships, your job or your view of yourself. Perhaps you’ve struggled with anxiety and find it difficult to engage with others or find yourself constantly questioning yourself. You might also be here because you struggle to understand what is going wrong in your relationship or wonder why you haven’t been able to find a relationship where you feel at peace. Maybe you come from a different culture and feel like you just don’t belong. Like you’re not from here or there and are struggling to find your place. Or maybe you’ve experienced difficult situations within your upbringing, your family or in the world as a woman or minority. If you’ve come here for any of those reasons, know that others see you and we feel with you through all these experiences.
I can’t give you any guarantee on the outcomes of counseling. Counseling bring about many emotions. You’ll find that those will change over time, maybe your life will take a new course and it might be confusing, maybe even frustrating at times but the goal is that we find a space in which you feel fulfilled. I am a strong believer that both pain and joy can coexist at the same time. I strive to help my clients find the balance in the heartache and the joys of life. If you feel this resonates with you, please reach out!
